Confused With The SEO Stuff

This past year has been a little crazy with all the changes that Google has been making. It seems like once I figure out how an update has effected my sites, they go and make another update to their search engine algorithm again. I am constantly trying to figure out what they want and what needs to be changed to keep my sites ranking for certain keywords.

I have been debating on asking for SEO help from someone that has more experience. I am just one little fish in this pond and there are people that might be able to help. The question for me is who to ask. If I was in Canada, I might go to google and search for Toronto seo services. I am in California, so do I choose someone from California or does it really even matter?

This SEO stuff is really quite frustrating and wish it wouldn’t be something that is always changing!

How To Inrease Your Klout Score

If you are a blogger, you might already be familiar with Klout. Even if you are not a blogger and are on Twitter, you might have at least heard of Klout. For those that don’t know what it is, Klout is a social website that has been designed to measure influence online. Klout (like Google) has their own algorithm of how they analyze users to determine their Klout score, which is said to be based on your content and how you impact and engage with others online.

For those of you that are trying to increase your Klout score, especially so you can take advantage of some of the cool Klout perks, here are some suggestions to increase your score:

  • Create Quality Content – Have you heard that saying that content is king? When you create quality content, people are going to find it. Chances are they will share this content, but make it easy for them by providing social sharing plugins that allow them to share via Twitter, Facebook, etc.
  • Get involved with Twitter – Reply to others and engage conversation with others in your niche.
  • Send regular Tweets that you think others will share. Create a Twitter list of those on your list that you follow that create great content and re-tweet their posts.
  • Attend Twitter parties and be involved in the chit chat. Some of these big brands are seeing the advantage of Twitter and jumping on the bandwagon. Be sure to reply to their questions and get noticed by others.
  • Support other Klout members by giving them Klout on their suggested topics. For me, I return the favor and I am sure there are many others that do the same.

These are just some of the easy ways that I suggest to use to increase your Klout score! Want to view my Klout profile? Visit:
